This morning’s warmup sketch of the sorta dream build I guess I still think about. Not enough time to do it any justice, but when pixels are all you’ve got, you do an electric rat-rod Porsche with an RS-style ducktail and who knows what else.

My phone was stolen from a jacket pocket yesterday, while I was running and climbing with my daughter, at a park.

I’m not blaming anyone but myself.

When I got back to the park, after shutting the phone down remotely, and doing a whole lot of access-location shit, it was under a tree, in the bushes.

So. That happened.

That is a pretty cool sketch.

It is giving me a mix of Safari, Mad-Max, and track-weapon vibes to apply to a Cayman.

The short quarter windows and roof, and the elongated fastback, and generally small size, seem Cayman-ish to me, more than 911.

Maybe a Cayman with a race-spec 997 or 991 nose, custom rear quarter windows to echo the 911 shape but much smaller...

The killers are those huge front fenders. The resolution of the unibody underneath, to the front edge of the door skin is a very nice touch.

The front eyebrow, and the trailing spoilers/wings are interesting, too... especially thinking about it as a bridge between Cayman’s fenders, behind and above the rear hatch.

Thanks.

It’s all of that.

I’ve been working on making a single sketch an animated-process-showing thing. Hard to justify knowledge and ability, no matter what you do, but if you can publish somethi ng like this, maybe it’s worth it.

Some old sketches .
